On Sept. 25, 33 young players were sent by China's Shandong Luneng football club to the distant ""Kingdom of Football"" to open their learning journey with the masters of the beautiful game.

The home for these players in Brazil is the Luneng Brazil Sports Center. Located in Porto Feliz, about 100 kilometers outside Brazil's largest city Sao Paulo, the newly-modified center is the first overseas youth training center for Chinese footballers.

After accomplishing the acquisition with local sports facility and being formally launched in mid July, the center eventually received its first-ever players.

It is a milestone for Luneng's youth training strategy.

In 2013, based on a 100-year club objective http://www.warriorsofficialsshop.com/kids-kevin-durant-warriors-jersey/ , Luneng introduced a medium and long-term strategic plan to develop its youth training system, the pathway of which starts from Luneng Football School in Shandong province to the Brazilian base, and then from Portugal base to professional clubs in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

As the Brazilian base, the Luneng Brazil Sports Center is not only for the youth of Luneng, but also for domestic and international club teams and national teams at all levels. The best players aged between 14 and 17 will be selected from Luneng Football School and come to Brazil to learn football techniques and participate in the Brazilian youth league.

The 160,000-square-meter site has five standard pitches and two futsal fields. In the next three month, these players will stay at the camp and live, train and compete with local youth players to learn about Brazil's unique football culture and techniques.

A Brazilian youth training coach will make assessment of the players based on their overall performance. Players who pass the evaluation will come to Brazil again next year, while those who fail will be replaced by other selected players from Luneng Football School.

Having just arrived here less than one week, the players only had three training sessions, most of them are still in jet lag. A player jokingly said that on the field he felt walking on a clouds.

However, the players reckon this opportunity as a crucial boost for their career. Liu Li from U-17 team admitted that the competition in Brazil was fierce.
